Arrival from the airport to the Congress venue:

Barcelona-El Prat Airport, also known as the Barcelona Airport, is the main international airport located 12km (7.5mi) southwest of the city.

Taxi:
Barcelona taxis are easily spotted with their yellow and black livery. There are taxi ranks outside each terminal building. The journey into the city takes around 20 minutes and costs around 30 EUR (journey + luggage).

Bus:
From Terminal 1, take Line A1 Pl. Catalunya which takes about 20 minutes to the station, Pl. Espanya-FGC. The Catalonia Barcelona Plaza Hotel is 2 minutes walking distance from this station. The price for a one-way ticket is under 6 EUR.

Scientific Program
The Opening Session starts at 08:30am on Friday, September 23 at the Barcelona Hall (floor -1)

Registration and Hospitality Desk
The Registration Desk will operate during the following hours:

Thursday, September 22 17:00-20:00 (In front of the hotel's reception)
Friday, September 23 07:00-19:00 (Barcelona's Hall Foyer, floor -1)
Saturday, September 24 08:00-18:00 (Barcelona's Hall Foyer, floor -1)

Please register upon arrival in order to receive your kit containing the COGEN Program Book, your personal name badge, invitations, etc. Please remember to wear your name badge to all Congress activities and social events.

Breakfast location
Breakfast will be served at the Garden Hall (Lobby Level)

Meet & Greet Reception
An informal COGEN Meet & Greet Reception will be held on Friday, September 23 from 18:00-19:00 (at the Barcelona's Hall Foyer, Floor -1), all registered participants are invited to join us!

Invited Speakers Presentations
Speakers are requested to hand their presentation to the technician located at the back of the lecture hall no later than 1 hour prior to the session in which they are scheduled in order to upload their slides.

Poster Presentations
Posters will be available for viewing on-site over the 2 main days of the Congress (Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September24).

Posters should be mounted on the boards provided on-site on Friday morning (September 23). Mounting material will be provided by the Congress Secretariat.

Please check your poster number in your Congress Program Book.

Poster presenters should plan to be beside their posters to answer questions during the breaks as scheduled in the Program.

Please remember to dismantle your poster at the end of the Congress, Saturday, no later than 17:00. The Congress Organizer is not responsible for posters that are not removed on time!

Visas
Some participants may require a visa in order to enter Spain. Please check with your local Consulate or Embassy.
Please remember that obtaining an entry visa is your own responsibility.

Climate
September is one of the best months to visit Barcelona. The average daytime temperatures in September are around 26°C (78°F) and in the evenings on average 17°C (62°F). Warm sunshine is guaranteed on most days.
